Working hours and events on LĪGO Day and JĀŅI Day

Riga Motor Museum informs visitors about the working hours and events on the Līgo Day and Jāņu Day.

The museum will be closed on 23, 24 June. But on 25 June, Sunday, the museum will be open from 10:00 to 18:00.

From Tuesday, 20 June, alongside with the permanent exposition, there will be an opportunity to see a new thematic exhibition ‘Driving Schools: Was, Is, Will Be. The exhibition will surprise you with a wide and varied equipment of the driving schools used in 1980, and allow you to compare the assessment process and requierements of theoretical exams of those times and modern times. There will be an opportunity to test practically your  knowledge of road traffic laws and pass the theoretical exam in a paper form. Simultaneously, the exhibition demonstrates the modern study process for the drivers and current system of laws, regulations and work that the Road Traffic Safety Directorate has introduced in order to improve the preparation level of the young drivers and traffic safety on the roads. 

On 25 June, Sunday, we invite you to accompany your visit to the museum with the attendance of the Speedway World Cup Qualifying Matches in the Bikernieki Sport Complex. Speedway teams will be from Germany, Italy, France and Latvia. The Latvian team will be represented by A.Ļebedevs, M.Bogdanovs, Ķ.Puodžuks and J.Kostigovs. They will be competing for an opportunity to represent Latvia on the World Cup Championship and obtain the title of the World Cup Champions.
