When weather gets warmer, antique vehicle owners and enthusiasts start to bustle and prepare for the new season. We offer a glimpse into this year's Antique Automobile Club of Latvia and Riga Motor Museum antique vehicle event calendar.
Youngtimer Cars & Coffee May 5
Youngtimer Motor Fans will open their 8th season with Youngtimer Cars & Coffee event, which by the way is the most visited event of the Latvian Antique Automobile Club. This year the event will take place at Arena Riga and it is planned that more than 300 youngtimer vehicles could participate in the event.
Collector and restorer market in Ikskile city on June 1 and 2
On the first weekend of June, Ikšķile – a town some 30 km from Riga, turns into a paradise for collectors, restorers and admirers of antiques. There will be at least 200 merchants and ten times more buyers here. Marketers sell both spare parts for retro cars, motorcycles or bicycles, as well as periodicals, calendars, books, toys, porcelain and much more. If you are not planning to go to Ikšķile, there will be a great opportunity to visit the Market on the 13th and 14th of July, right beside the Riga Motor Museum at Biķernieku race track.
Historical road race "Amber Circle" on June 16
The historical race car event "Amber Circle" on the Bikernieki race track will bring together participants with Volga, VAZ race cars and Soviet Formulas.
Guests from abroad - "Peking - Paris" rally stops at Riga Motor Museum on June 30
Organizers of the famous rally "Peking - Paris" with 100 years of history have chosen Riga Motor Museum as one of rally’s checkpoints. It’s expected that participants of Peking to Paris rally will stop at Riga Motor Museum on Saturday, June 30th. Besides they will also test their cars at the Biķernieki race track, located beside the museum.
Oldtimer rally "Retromance" July 20-21
The most romantic event of the season will take place from 20 to 21 July. Only the oldest retro vehicles of the Latvian Antique Automobile Club, manufactured until 1945, are admitted taking part in the event. The start will be traditionally given to the Motor Museum, but closer to authentic retro cars can be found in the picturesque town of Kuldiga. The special thing is that.
The main event of the season “Riga Retro 2019” August 17
The season’s main event is the Riga Retro taking place during Riga city festival. This year, the event will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way. As usual opening of the event will take place at Riga Motor Museum, followed by retro parade of over 100 cars and motorcycles through Riga city center.

What could be better than a lazy Sunday with old cars and coffee. More than 100 classic cars and motorcycles from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will gather at the event organized by the Antique Automobile Club of Latvia. The aim of the event is to bring together all existing and potential participants, fans in a joint event without sporting activities. It will be a great opportunity to meet, talk, look at cars, create new contacts and visit Riga Motor Museum in a relaxed atmosphere and on a lazy Sunday.
