RIGA MOTOR MUSEUM BUILDING IS UNDER RECONSTRUCTION!
On April 15th, 2013 Riga Motor Museum’s doors were closed due to the forthcoming reconstruction. At this moment it is not possible to see the antique vehicle exposition.
The renovation project of the Riga Motor Museum envisages an enlargement of its existing exhibition area, creation of a new, more comfortable and up-to-date entrance, organization of the visitors’ flows in a clear way; the renovation project will also assure the museums accessibility for all the visitants and design a space according to the expositions actual needs while preserving the museums historical character, functional plan and its structural configuration.
After the Riga Motor Museum building’s reconstruction, the establishment and installation of the new exposition shall begin, it is scheduled that it will last till the end of 2015. At this moment it is not possible to visit the museum’s antique vehicle exposition until the opening of the reconstructed Riga Motor Museum.

When visiting the southern region of Latvia, pay a visit also to the Motor Museum in Bauska. We offer new and well-organized premises with more than 60 old-timers, agriculture, special and military vehicles. In one of the exhibition halls you can glance at motorcars used in the 30ies and postwar years by bourgeois when going for a ride to the countryside. However in the second exhibition hall we offer a chance to feel the atmosphere of Latvian countryside of the 20ies and 30ies.

Riga Motor Museum invites you to pay a visit to the museum’s motor sport exposition located in the Bikernieki race track’s office building in S. Eizensteina Street 4. The motor sport exposition is located just next to the legendary Bikernieki race track that opened in 1966 and was the first professionally built race track in the whole Baltic region.
